for Salem, NH
Arrived today to look at 2 outside faucets. Upon arrival I found that the water was off to the house and the old isolation valves for the outside faucets had been taken apart. Customer was looking to have them replaced. At first we were going to do the valves and faucets, but ended up only doing the valves in order to get the water back on to the house. Customer is going to either install the faucets himself or have us return when they are ready to be used again. I cut out the old valve and replaced. I then sweat the other valve that was interior and installed a cap on the other side. Turned on water to the house and checked valves for leaks. 2 year warranty on fittings and valves only.
Final walkthrough. Ready for inspection.
Arrived to find customer had a 40 gallon LP chimney vented water heater leaking and had purchased a new tank to replace it with. I found that while installing the water heater, a mixing valve, expansion tank and vacuum breaker would need to be installed as well as the vent having to be upsized from 3” to 4” piping to bring heater up to code. We would also be purchasing a permit and having the Salem inspector come out to inspect the work when everything was all done. I gave quotes for the work and customer would like to get other quotes and will call if he wants to go ahead.
Arrived to find customer was changing the whole house filter and the filter head had broken and leaked onto the basement floor. Customer took head apart to repair but found no luck. After agreeing on pricing, I removed the old filter and installed a new whole house filter with a new three valve bypass and new hangers and new filter cartridge. After turning on the water to the home, airing out all water lines, and testing all work, I found no leaks or issues with work preformed.
Ran both line sets through the attic and to the master bedroom head
